Press Release Changes to WearRA 2024

The Exoskeleton Industry is Changing, and so are we!

Dear Wearable Robotics Community,

The WearRA Association wants to wish the community continued success in 2024 and beyond. We have been extremely fortunate to work with amazing, innovative people like you in the last nine years.

We want to highlight all the wonderful things that have occurred between 2015 and 2023, thanks to you:

  • Held over 13 conferences in the US, Europe, and Korea
  • Awarded more than $40,000 via the Innovation Showcase to winners such as Laevo, HeroWear, Auxivo, and others
  • Collaborated for seven years with Exoskeleton Report
  • Chartered the AExG group in 2017
  • Coordinated live exoskeleton demonstrations, networking events, insurance discussions, and logistics forums
  • Hosted international keynote speakers from academia, government, and industry

While we are still committed to advancing exoskeleton technologies, we have decided that it is not feasible to continue hosting stand-alone events such as WearRAcon USA. However, we will continue to look for partnership opportunities and collaborations to advance the technology and assist our partners in whatever capacity we can.

In Europe, Dr. Urs Schneider and the Fraunhofer IPA group will continue to hold WearRAcon Europe, ExoworkathlonTM, and ExoPark at the AplusA conference. The next event will take place in 2025.

We have launched a new website at www.wearablerobotics.com. We invite you to be part of our evolution, and we hope you will welcome us throughout your journey.

If you have any concerns or ideas or want to have a conversation, please contact info@wearablerobotics.com.

    Sincerely,

    Dr. Thomas Sugar
