First time in Düsseldorft for the A+A Conference, Exo Park, and WearRAcon Europe? Chances are that you are not alone, as the trade fair is a massive event attended by thousands of people every other year. This is what the WearRA team has learned from our travels:

Hotels:

There are three options for hotels:

  • Getting a hotel near the airport, and traveling using ride share or public transport to the sprawling venue. For example, have had WearRA board members stay at the Ibis Duesseldorf Airport, Düsseldorf, Germany.
  • Finding a hotel near the venue itself and walking over each morning. Chances are, the sidewalks will be crowded with people heading in the same direction as you.
  • Booking a hotel near the central train station, which runs a dedicated light rail from below the train station (one escalator trip down) directly to the trade fair grounds, which have their dedicated light rail (tram) terminal. For example, the Hampton by Hilton Dusseldorf City Centre was more than convenient.

Travel:

For international travels going to WearRAcon Europe, we can recommend two routes:

  • Fly directly into Düsseldorf or,
  • Fly into Frankfurt, then walk to the long-distance rail station. It is connected by a walking corridor, you won’t need anything to transfer. However, make sure you ask where your luggage will be delivered, as it may be in the main luggage claim before customs OR it could be transferred to a kiosk area that is immediately to the left before you enter the train terminal. Furthermore, download the DB or Swiss train ap, so you can track in real time the arrival platform for your train, as that can change.

Tickets Are Available Now:
